Why Should Republicans dictate If my gay neighbor can get married or not?

Republicans are against the Federal government being in peoples lives, does that mean against everyone who's white, christian, and straight? They are all for laws that involve more govt for other cultures, like the Arizona immigration , abortion laws, gay marriage laws, DADT ect ect. Republicans are no closer to god than Democrats are. And for them to think that holding gays from marriage is lawful makes me fearful for the status of the govt. What will it be next? Gays can't date in public? Interracial marriage is illegal? People used to say back in the slave days that god did not like blacks and that's why he painted them black. Maybe god does not think blacks should have equal right either?
