Do greyhound drivers check date on tickets?

I am traveling from tulsa to Kansas City on greyhound. I purchased a companion fare for my sister and I, but selected a date 3 days prior to when we are actually leaving. I did this because it was cheaper on that paticular day. Will there be any problems when boarding?
