Why do the kufar allow their opinion of Islam to be dictated by the media?

Why don't they just read the Qur'an for themselves so they can become Muslims? The Bible is corrupted by humans, so it's no longer reliable. It contradicts the Prophet (pbuh) and has lost its Truth. It's now just a book.
