What are your thoughts about a directing class that dictates this-?

i'm thinking of taking a directing class in hollywood. however the place wants first/last month of school payment. so they expect a 2 month commitment but the person said they really expect 6 months of commitment in order that i "get the most out of the class". but i'm not allowed to audit the class and if i don't like it why would i want to stay longer than even one month?! so it just sounds like a scam to me but was wondering if anyone else had thoughts especially people in the industry. and this is a directing class but the head guy that would give me critiques (when i direct the actors) is a theater director and not a film director so i wonder what i could learn anyway from him. very skeptical....
