I'm 17 and plan to study to be a neurologist, the boy I'm interested in is 19 & a Welder, am I shallow?

Opposites attract? As long as he's a caring, compassionate guy you shouldn't care. I'm a NHS member, take/have taken many AP courses, and do academically well, yet all I look for in a girl is kindness and trust. I don't care if she's smart or not cause I'll worry about making it to the top so I can provide for me and whoever else I want to. Kinda get what I'm saying?
